Mother Shipton's Cave Ticket Portal

Admission

Once you have selected your tickets, you can select your date and time. See the calendar key for our events.

Please arrive promptly for the start of your time slot and leave by the end of your timed session (e.g. 10 to 12.30, 10 is your start time and 12.30 is the end time).

There’s something for the whole family at England’s Oldest Tourist Attraction, including the birthplace of the Yorkshire Prophetess Mother Shipton, the incredible Petrifying Well, a large children’s Adventure Playground (access to the Adventure Playground is subject to weather and ground conditions), and a Museum & Gift Shop.

Scrumptious ice cream is available to purchase as well as take-away coffee, tea, hot chocolate and refreshments from our lovely vintage-style kiosks in the middle of the woodland walk.

Dogs on a lead are permitted everywhere except in the adventure playground and the Museum & Gift Shop, with the exception of Guide/Assistance Dogs.

There are three sets of steps in the attraction which are not wheelchair accessible and pushchairs must be parked under the shelter before these steps - we recommend bringing a sling.

Free parking within the attraction for the session time is included with Car Admission tickets. Parking is for visiting Mother Shipton's only, you cannot walk out of the attraction and leave your car parked. No Motorhomes. Pedestrian tickets do not include parking. The closest alternative Car Park is Conyngham Hall car park, just a two minute walk away.

The only entrance and exit is on High Bridge. Please note that pedestrian visitors must walk back to the main entrance where they entered to leave.

Booking is subject to an additional £1.50 booking fee per order.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Sorry, no tickets are currently on sale for this session.
