Winter Woodland Walk

Winter Woodland Walk tickets are pedestrian only and do not include car parking.

These tickets are for those who wish to explore the beautiful woodland festooned with twinkling lights. Ticket holders acknowledge that these tickets do not include a Santa visit, Christmas stories or a festive activity pack.

Please arrive promptly for the start of your time slot and leave by the end of your timed session (e.g. 9.30 to 12.00, 9.30 is your start time and 12.00 is the end time).

Ticket holders will still be able to explore England’s Oldest Tourist Attraction, including the birthplace of the Yorkshire Prophetess Mother Shipton, the incredible Petrifying Well and a Museum & Gift Shop.

Light refreshments are available to purchase as well as take-away coffee, tea and hot chocolate from our lovely vintage-style kiosks in the middle of the woodland walk.

Please note that due to the unique set up of our Christmas event we are unable to accommodate dogs during the Christmas event.

Please also be aware that although the middle of the attraction (picnic areas, trail area, woodland) is accessible for pushchairs, this does not extend to the Cave, Well and Museum/Gift Shop due to the steps and gravelled ground.
We recommend bringing a sling for little ones and parking pushchairs under the shelter provided just before the steps.
During the winter months the temporary surfaces throughout the park make the attraction unsuitable for people with impaired mobility.

Access to the Cave & Well is subject to weather conditions.
The elves suggest wearing sturdy footwear and waterproofs.
There is no access to the adventure playground during the Christmas event.

Winter Woodland Walk tickets do not include parking. The closest alternative Car Park is Conyngham Hall car park, just a two minute walk away.

The only entrance and exit is on High Bridge. Please note that pedestrian visitors must walk back to the main entrance where they entered to leave.

Tickets must be booked ONLINE IN ADVANCE and cannot be purchased at the gate on arrival.

Booking is subject to an additional £1.50 booking fee per order.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
